Christian Ban on the Olympics Games
In 393 A.D, the 293rd and final Olympic Games were held. In 394, the christian Emperor Theodosius abolished pagan festivals, including the Greek Games as a pagan festival hampering the spread of christianity.
Sport in general will be very frowned upon or prohibited by hatred of the body and duty of mortification of its carnal envelope.
